Good morning to my lecture madam nuretna and all my friendly classmates. Today i would like to tell you about my achievement in Foundation English Lesson as well as reading, writting, listening,speaking,vocabulary, making presentation and participating discussion.
In the reading section, i have improved my reading because of the listening activities that have been done in the class and Longman Online English. It helps me to understand the difference of American and U.K english pronunciation. Now, i can read a lot of books by using standard english pronunciation.
For the writting part, i found that writting is the most difficult for me to improve my writting skills. It is because i need to know a lot of English vocabulary in order to write an article. So, i only can say that there aren't improvement in my writting.
In listening, i have learn it by two ways. First is listening to my lecturer in the class and the second one is using Longman English Online Listening. The benefits that i get are helped me to become a good listener and learn a lot of pronunciation words betwwen U.S and U.K . It means that my performance in listening is quite good than before and i need to do some improvement for it.
In our class, speaking is the one of the problems that faced by students especially Malay students. Many of them are afraid to English because they think that is difficult to do it. In my opinion, i think that English is one of the language that can help us to do well . I usually speak English with my lecturer despite i am weak in this language. For me, it is also a way to help me to learn and improve my skills. I am sastify with speaking in English.
For vocabulary section, i found that i had learn too much new words either it is for academic use or the future. It encourage me to find out the meaning of these words and try to use them in my life. Vocabulary is the most important key that can help us to write essay or story.
When i doing my presentation, i realize that my communication skill is being improved a lot. It will be very useful for me in the future. I think it was a best performance that i never achieve in my life. For participating discussion, i take part in this section because my lecturer,madam nuretna give emphasis on this part.
After review my achievement in Foundation English class, i have found that listening, speaking and making presentation is the parts that i like a lot and give more attention for them. However, i have to do some improvement for the weakness part as well as vocabulary, reading and writting sections. Without Foundation English lesson, i can say that English is the most difficult subject for me to improve it. Thanks. luv u teacher...i'm appreciate it!
