Now, I want to share about my listening experience in the website Prof David Crystal. In my opinion, this website is very good especially for a student who can get knowledge and new vocabulary with it.
For my task 1, I have chosen the title ‘Cell’. Before that, I have a bit confius to choose which one the best title because there, in section David Crystal, has many title which can we chosen. I decided to chose the title “Cell’. It is because, I interested with the picture that it is shown.
‘Cell’ is a mobile phone technology. It is shortened words came from cellular phone. After I was listening and reading it, the passage is very easy to understand. It is not complicated. But, there also has one or more new vocabulary that I do not know what the meaning is and do not guess too.They are monastery and synchronise. So difficult to pronounce and moreover to understand.
Meanwhile, for my task 2, I have chosen ‘Bless’ for the title. This passage is quite to understand and suitable for the student like me. This is because, this title has more new vocabulary. That is mean, many vocabulary did not I know what the meaning is.
The new vocabulary that I got is distinctive, indulgent, harsh and snuggling up. I must remember their meaning. Prof. David’s story is a very interesting and short. I do not spent much time to read them.
Actually, my reading is better than my listening. I have to listen always for news in English, watching television in English movie for example, to more improve my listening.
