ASSIGNMENT 2 : Individual Online Listening and Writing

Task 1

Assalamualaikum...hai..see you all again. Do you remember me? i'm MY GIRLS @ NORFAIZA

Today i want to tell about "David Crystal" this website explain to the students that are going to listen Prof. David Crystal's talking about. I has listening about keep Your English Up To Date in BBC. The title is "Get A Life". From what i listening i feel not clear what he said. Then i read the tapescripts to make me more understand what he said in the topic. Finally, i can understand it. From this topic i found new vocabulary example:

*Derogatory: adjective-insulting and disapproving
*Existence:noun-the state of existing
example- it is impossible to prove the existence of God
*Workaholic:noun-informal some one who cannot stop working and does not have time for
anything else

Then Task 2, i choose another topic on the learning English. The topic which i has choose is "In Your Dream". For second Task i also must listen it's very carefully because the language use so difficult to understand. It also make me to repeat about what he say. However, i also got a new experience and knowledge about BBC programes. The benefits which i could from it, i can compare english language with other language. I also know about their grammar and add new words that i dont understand before this, like:

*Muttering-It's from mutter-to speak quietly or in a low voice/ to complain about something
or express doubts about it.

*Raised-To move or lift something to a higher position, place, or level.

I hope this programe can make me more goods in english.

Finally, thank you very much to my lovely teacher's Madam Nuretna. I hope she always in flying without Wings with her family and good luck for our members "set 24".
