Now, I want to share about my listening experience in the website Prof David Crystal. In my opinion, this website is very good especially for a student who can get knowledge and new vocabulary with it.

For my task 1, I have chosen the title ‘Cell’. Before that, I have a bit confius to choose which one the best title because there, in section David Crystal, has many title which can we chosen. I decided to chose the title “Cell’. It is because, I interested with the picture that it is shown.

‘Cell’ is a mobile phone technology. It is shortened words came from cellular phone. After I was listening and reading it, the passage is very easy to understand. It is not complicated. But, there also has one or more new vocabulary that I do not know what the meaning is and do not guess too.They are monastery and synchronise. So difficult to pronounce and moreover to understand.

Meanwhile, for my task 2, I have chosen ‘Bless’ for the title. This passage is quite to understand and suitable for the student like me. This is because, this title has more new vocabulary. That is mean, many vocabulary did not I know what the meaning is.

The new vocabulary that I got is distinctive, indulgent, harsh and snuggling up. I must remember their meaning. Prof. David’s story is a very interesting and short. I do not spent much time to read them.

Actually, my reading is better than my listening. I have to listen always for news in English, watching television in English movie for example, to more improve my listening.

ASSIGMENT 1:WRITING A SELF-ASSESSMENT ESSAY

Assalamu’alaikum for all of you……..

I am Nur Asiah. Abdul Ghani’s daughter. Have you still remembered me??

First of all, I apologize because I am late to write this assignment in this blog. Hope you all and especially Madam Nuretna to forgive me for all my mistakes since I was studied with you, teacher..
In this short sem, we have studied the Foundation English. Our teacher is Madam Nuretna Asurah Ahmad. She is caring, kindly, very punctual, an intelligent person..that’s why she is teaching us…and sometimes, she is amusing too.
Here, I would like to write about my achievements in learning English throughout this semester. The whole of achievement including reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, making presentations and participating discussions.
The opportunity for using and learning English is very limited. Especially for our faculty, that is Faculty of Islamic Studies. I do converse in English with some of my friends, but only with a few of them. This is because most of the others cannot converse in English.
I am very interested to learning English. And also like for whatever activities that teacher do in our class. For example, A Romantic Meeting, Where In The World Am I?, the song; Flying Without Wings, How To Make A Food Or Drink etc.
Firstly, my achievement in reading is better than before. This is because, sometimes I read the New Straits Times and The Star’s paper. Sometimes, I read any article in English that can improve my reading well. At the same time, ‘Heidi’ is a our reading book where is a part of syllabus in this English that give us around 10% marks. Too much, I think.
Now, we will share about my achievement in writing. I like writing, but I do not do that always, for my own homework. Certain activities in our class need us to writing for a task, summary etc. I always give and share about my opinion and my idea with our group discussions when we have discussed. Actually, my writing depends on how many writing did I do throughout this semester and before this…. J
Thirdly, I want to mention about my listening. My listening in English is better than before too. I can catch up and easy to understand when our teacher talked about something. The important is while the teacher is teaching. It is also helped by the Longman’s exercises did I do in PTSL’s cyber. I am also prefer watching television programme in English like English’s movie, cartoons; Aladdin and others.
Next, we see about my achievement in speaking. I like to speak in English even has a little of broken. This is because, we have to brave and confident to speak in English with our friends who can speak with us. Learn from mistakes. With this broken pronounce for example, we can improve our speaking better than before…sometimes, I tried to speak in English with our teacher…,but. I am shy..he..he..but in messages, I can do that…so nonsense.
Since I was studying for one months ago, I got a lot of new vocabulary. It is amazing right?.. Although, I always late to come to the class… I am not a good student..but I will try to change my bad habit like this for my future classes…God willing!!
Actually, I prefer to ask teacher or my friends about new words or vocabulary than refer to the dictionary when I fought them. However, I know…if I often refer to the dictionary for all new vocabulary, they can help me to more remember what is the meaning of them…am I right?? What do you think??
While I making the presentations, I tried do the best…but sometimes, I also nervous. Actually, it is depends on my preparations before I make the presentations. If my preparation is good and the task has done or completed, I can make and perform it with more confident and brave in front of our friends. We were taught to speak as a public speakers…confident, personality, methods of making presentations etc by the teacher.
Finally, I will write about participating discussions. I enjoyed with it. This is because, we already have one discussion group respectively. And our group is Dolphin’s Group who has a five girls and only one boy. His name is Yusuf. When we requested to make the writing or summary, we do together…share any opinion, idea, and anything that can help our task. That is mean, we work hard and full with cooperation.
Now, I want to break my writing..it is too long, right?? Never mind. Thanks a lot my friends..set 24 always in my mind. I never forget you. Lastly, for teacher, I am so sorry for all my mistakes did I do either I knew or not. Thank you very much. I will miss you after this. May Allah bless you always.

I was listening from David Crystal...the title is in your dream...I want to share what I was get after listen about the topic.I like his voice and I also this article but, I didn't understant what he talking about. Then, I try to listen it again and finally, I understant the task.

Firstly, thanks for God because gave me oppurtunity for continous life, good healthy and join this foundation class.After that,thanks for madam NURETNA and all my believed friends...I'm Rabiatul Adawiah Bt Awang from klate...My group in class is "DOLPHINS GROUP". How are you today???I hope you all fine and happy always..

Today,i want to share my experience in foundation class with you..actually,I'm enjoyed to learn this our class..many activities madam do in my class such as "ice breaking", drew a the pet in the zoo, where in the world am i, egg scramble etc..I like activities with group, because it's not boring and i am very happy...While activities the drew a the pet in the zoo,our group chosen "The Kuala Krai Zoo Klate"..it very interesting...hehehe..

I like learn to this class english because it can improve me for get a new experience,knowledge,vocabulary etc..About vocabulary... i think, i'm less too much, but after learned this class,i have have a lot of vocabulary...thanks madam!!! Other than,I like making presentations because it can improved my language, grammar and etc.It also very important to me how to know about my skill...and than,i like participating discussion because i can learned very well.

Actually, i'm very sad because today is a last day class to learn our english,but i'm so happy learn with madam because you are very sporting and understanding...I hope,one day i and believed friends can see you again...lastly, i must apologize to you for my rudeness and i always on lateness came class.....

I want to comment about David Crystal, first time I heard the David Crystal, I don’t understand what he say. I just can catch some word what he say .And then, I repeat it again but I still do not understand. He spoke so fast and not clear. Lastly I take decision to read the typescript .Now I understand what he says.


My opinion about online listening practice very good because we used computer for listening and can help comfortably quality domination English language and we can learn how to speak with correct and how to used words with better. okey....see you again...=)

Hello to my dearest teacher and my entire friend. My name is Nur Amalina Bt. Abdullah from Kelantan want to share with all of you about my experience enjoy foundation English. I join set 24 and our teacher, Madam Nuretna is very kind and helps me to improve my English. Before I join this class, I feel this subject is very difficult and bored to learn but after I join this class, I feel English subject is easy and interesting to learn but you must enjoy and study hard to expert in English.

In our class, I like to join activities by group. My group is Dolphin…=). I love my team group very much. In my group, I like discuss and present about our zoo. We are choosing and present about Kuala Krai Zoo. In our zoo, we can see animal like camel, monkey, elephant, snake and others. They were very funny because our team group can’t draw very well like monkey. I draw the monkey and its look like the cat. Hi,hi,hi…=).
On the other hands, we also discuss and present about “How To Make Lava”. In the class, our teacher asks us to present our favorite food and we were chosen “Lava”. Lava is one of Kelantanese famous food especially in Kampung Sungai, Bachok…( Siti Khadijah’s village)…hi,hi,hi…=).

In my opinions, activities by group can improve us to more confident and speaking in front of the audience very well. Beside that, foundation English can improve my reading and writing. Before that, I can’t speak fluently and very difficult to understand everything in English such as newspaper, magazine and others but after I join this class, I got more knowledge like grammar, vocabulary and I can write and reading very well and now, I’m always reading English version newspaper.

Assalamualaikum and selamat Sejahtera for my beloved teacher Madam Nuretna and my friend.Firstly,i want to introduce myself,I am Nor Laili Bt Abd Rani,set 24.And then i want to apologize from my teacher and my friend for everything.While study for foundation english,i get many knowledge and experient is valuable for myself.
This class can built my confident to talk in front of class and also in public.My group is Dolphin Group,I'm very happy and agree with the exercise from my teacher in class.In the class I also learn about presentation such as about Zoo,How to make lawa,our project and so on.Our project work show about India(Agra,Bangalore,Calcutta and Chennai).For our project work we get more information and knowledge from internet about India.In that class I also learn about pronunciation and I can see the improvement in myself like can read very well the article English,and can speak English with my friends.Simultaneously,I get many vocablury in foundation class,before this I cannot found.The activities that I like is Scrumble Eggs because it is challenge my mind and add my vocabulary.Lastly, thank you for all.I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Hello…to all of my friend from set 24 and my beloved teacher,Madam Nuretna.I’m Nick Zue from Dolphin Group.Today,I would like to share you about my experience and achievement along Foundation English.Before that,sorry for being late to join this blogger.Actually,sorry to say that I felt bored during early learning English in this class.However,after a while I felt yery happy being a member of this class. This is because there were many activities,jokes by my beloved friends and the most important thing is I have a good and nice teacher, Madam Nuretna.Besides that, Icould make many friend from different department of FPI.Some activities that I liked most are ice-breaking,egg scramble,where in the world am I?,romantic meeting and others.Then, I could train myself to pronounce the difficult words in English correctly.I also trained myself to avoid feeling nervous during handling the presentation.Through this way,I felt more confident on what I did.I got many knowledge and lesson during having Foundation English.Although,I know that my achievement is not too good in English but I felt that I had some improvement in English.Lastly,I felt very luckly and happy for being a member of this group.Thank you for my beloved teacher for your lesson and my friend for being my friends…see you again..bye..wassalam.

For me,the topic very difficult to understand the meaning.To begin with,I can’t understand what he talked in recording which I’m listening first time because he spoke fluently. So, I must listen his record more than one.To second around.I’m listen what he said but my condition is not changed.Although,I try to repeat it and what I got from it just a little to me understand..After that,I’m decided to read the transcript in website of David Crystal. TASK 1

Hello to all my friends and my beloved teacher, madam Nuretna. Here I would like to express about this task. Firstly I open the David Crystal Online, I don't know what title I must choose because it have many title. Then, I choose title ''Blog''. I choose this title because I think it suitable with our assignment...we must writing assignment at blog. When I was listening, I'm not understand what he was talking. The language is used very fluent and I can't follow it. When I listen again and I look at tapescript, I can understand what he was talking. I got new vocabulary when I doing this assignment as abbreviation. I also have the word I fell so difficult to find as blogarrhoe. I try refer to the dictionary, but I can't find this word. Lastly, I think I got many experience when I doing this task. I also was learned how to pronouns the right pronounciation. That's all from me for task 1.

TASK 2

I choose title ''phat" for task 2. I choose this title because I think this title so unique. First time I listen this title, I'm not understand because it's very difficult to understand. It also difficult to difference by words cause sound this word same with word ''fat". Actually, it the first time I heard the word ''phat''. So, I'm not understand. I try to find this word at the dictionary, but I can't found it. Then, I read tapescript again and I can understand what word ''phat'' mean. It means excellent, great, coll. I also found a new word such as encounter, homophony, ambiguous, and others. So, I can add my vocabulary. Lastly I think this website give more benefit to everyone...That's all from me..

I'm Masliana would like to submit my assigment for task 2 .The title In Your Dreams.The topic was very interesting and i enjoyed when i listened it.Firstly, when i listened to the recording Prof.David Crystal i'm not understand what he want to tell.... but i don't give up , i repeat again and i listen while read overall the transcript .I can understand the article.In the the topic i found the new words and i would like to share it with all my friends:

Hi,I'm Ila.How are you today?I'm very well.
Actually, I have post task 1 on Thursday.But I can't see the task in part view blog.Maybe I have done wrong step.
Here i'm going to share with you my experience when I do our task individual online listening.I have choose 'Get a life' as a topic to listen how the best pronunciation from Prof. David Crystal.I very enjoy and excited when I do this listening skill.The program is interesting because there have nice sound and music before Prof David start his speak about 'get a life'.So i'm very excited to listen it more and more. From this topic, I have found a few words that I haven't listen it before. The words are:

1.Derogatory:Expressing a lack of respect for,or a low opinion of sth:
Derogatory comment about the standard of my work.

2.Workaholic:A person who loves work and does too much of it.

3.Obsession:
1.The state in which you can only think of anything else.
2.A person or thing that you think about too much.

4.Dull:
1.Not interesting or exciting.
2.Not bright.
3.Not sharp or strong.

5.Chill out:To relax and not feel angry or nervous about anything.

Before I read the tapescript, I just get a little idea about this topic.But after I listen again and read the tapescript, I got the general idea of the topic.

So,I want to listen more and more to improve my listening skill.

Hi..I'm Ila.I want to proceed my work.
For task 2,I have choose 'Netizen' as a second task to listen from Prof David Crystal.Really, I can't understand nothing about this topic without tapescript. I can't catch up what Prof David said. I felt so worried about my listening skill.
But...
After I see and read the tapescript, I can understand overall about this topic. Just two words I don't know its meaning.The words are:

Blog like a diary writing..We can put anything in this website.You can put picture,music,video,clock and others.It's up to you how to manage your diary..to make it beautiful.We can do it daily at least..

It's personal diary,kept by an individual who wants to tell the whole world..We also can share with many people about our activities or interest,opinions and so on...We also can chat with other people without have to pay..

Prof David Crystal said there's the corporate blog,maintained by an institution,such as a radio station..For me,we also can open other people blog like our actor...and i have read afdlin shauki blog..here we can comment and know about him and her work....

Assalamualaikum...To all my friends and my beloved teacher. Let me introduce my self. I am Siti Sarah from Rafflesia Group. Here, I would like to express about this task. I choose " Get a life " topic to listen the prof David Crystal's recording. It is about true life. I had listening and I just a little understand. I'm not understand very well what he was talking because he speaking very fluent in english language.
Here I want to share to all the new words in this topic.
1- Derogatory- expressing disapproved or scorn. (menghina)
2- Obsess- to occupy someone's mind too much.(mengganggu/diganggu)
3- Sorts- type or kind. (jenis)

In my opinion, this topic make me happy when I read. When I listen David Crytal's recording, I'm not understand what he said, and understand when I read the tapescript. It is very benefit if you want excellent in english language and I hope it can make me better english in listening, speaking and writing. Thanks..

Task 2.

I want to continue my task. In this task, I want to explain my experience about " In your Dream" topic in David Crystal's recording. He used the word very difficult to understand and speaking very fast and fluent. I'm not understand very well too. When I see the tapescript, I just understand a little because some word difficult for me. I must refer the dictionary to understand.
Here, I would like also to share to all some words while I found it in this topic.
1- Circumstance- a fact, a happening ( keadaan)
2- Expectations- the state of expecting (harapan@ jangkaan)
3- Mutter- to utter words in a quiet voice especially when grumbling (rungutan)
4- Optimistic- hoping or believing something good will happen.

For me, this activity so attrack my attention to listen again. It is coused, I'm not understand to listen first. I must to listen second or third and see the tapescript to understand. But I enjoyed it. The all activities I listened, so interesting. So, I hope it can help me in better english language specially speaking. Thanks..

ASSIGMENT 2 : task 1

In first task for listening, I chose ‘not’ as my topic. I wonder that this task was very challenging especially for me. Most of the topics are very difficult to understand if we did not listen to the recording carefully. During listening the recording by Prof. David Crystal for the first time, I cannot understand what exactly the topic talk about. After listen it for many times, finally I can catch up what Prof. David Crystal trying to say.The topic is about the usage of word ‘not’ which shows negative meaning. It is an unusual usage that we can putting the word ‘not’ at the end, instead of in the middle. There are some new word that I can found in this text such as negate which bring meaning deny existing of something.

ASSIGNMENT 2 : Individual Online Listening and Writing (Maziah)

I want to share with all of you about task 2 which the topic i'm choose is MY BEST FRIEND.I'm also want to tell you about my experience doing task 2.
At the first time I cannot open website but I don’t give up and try again until successful. YES! I'm get it.....!

Then,I think everyone must be came in website and try listen, read and make exercise in the website because it is very good to improve the English Language. I got many new vocabulary when I'm doing this assignment likes:

2. profound absence: great want

3. mechanics of the story: workings of the plot

4. adult: mature, thoughtful, wise

Assalamu'alaikum to all my friends and my lovely teacher.I'm Syafiah from rafflessia Group want to share my experience from BBC Learning English.I chose 'Wuss' on my title for the task 2.I got a new knowledge and information from this section,but I was still a little knowledge for understanding the meaning.I need read repeat again to understand the meaning overall.Beside that,the picture in the text can help me to explain detail and to understand clearly.The word i fell is very difficult to find is "Wuss","Pussy",and "Wimp".The language is used also very fluent and difficult to follow it.Lastly, I hope i can read and listen very well after this....That all from me and thank you..

assignment 2: task 1& 2 by nyssa-

Today, I log on to the website http:/www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish and I go to the section UP TO DATE or type DAVID CRYSTAL. Inside the website more about how to keep your English. First time I log on the website many topic can i choose and listen all topic. First I listen I can’t understand, but when I listen more times I understand. Many topic the website, but one topic I like make me interesting to listen is a topic “ In your dreams”. Then I listen to Prof. David Crystal’s recording as many times. Then I read the tapescript about “in you dream”. I think every one have a dream or every one have a dream to get something to be successful. Do you know what meaning is the dream, may I explain what the dream. Dream is a series of events or picture which happen in your mind while you as asleep. It meant someone is being unrealistic, very optimistic, very hopeful any circumstances in which expectations are raised in you dream. I believe every one had a dream when you sleep. But dream not just a when you sleep. Dream will come true when you believe that something you do. I have a dream. My dream one day like to be a good person and hope my ambition will come true one day. I think you all have a dream like me. If you don’t have dream, make you dream now.
This topic I learn new word like example Circumstances is mean usually the facts and events that affect what happens in a particular situation. Then the new word I know is mutter is a mean to speak in a low, quiet and often angry voice that is difficult to hear.
Thats all my opinion about listening Prof. David Crystal’s. I think good to log on the website, because this can help me to improve my listening and know that skill to be good listening. Thank you.


TASK 2

Now, I want to give opinion on the online listening about another topic I choose in website www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningengliah and I take this topic is a “Get a life”. Life, life, life.. I know that you know what is life. Life is a mean the quality that people, animals or plants have when they are not dead. We should grateful to Allah because give to chance to life until now. We can make life to be happy, enjoy, sad, empty and whatever we feel when we life. Life must be happy because when you make life happy you can enjoy you self. If you feel life is like leading an unfulfilling existence, your life is empty, dull, there’s more to life than what you’re doing, start living. It can be serious, but its usually jocular. It can be used for instance to a workaholic, or for anybody watching a particular soap, shall we say. That person might be told to get a life. Don’t make you life is boring. Good morning to my lecture madam nuretna and all my friendly classmates. Today i would like to tell you about my achievement in Foundation English Lesson as well as reading, writting, listening,speaking,vocabulary, making presentation and participating discussion.

In the reading section, i have improved my reading because of the listening activities that have been done in the class and Longman Online English. It helps me to understand the difference of American and U.K english pronunciation. Now, i can read a lot of books by using standard english pronunciation.

For the writting part, i found that writting is the most difficult for me to improve my writting skills. It is because i need to know a lot of English vocabulary in order to write an article. So, i only can say that there aren't improvement in my writting.

In listening, i have learn it by two ways. First is listening to my lecturer in the class and the second one is using Longman English Online Listening. The benefits that i get are helped me to become a good listener and learn a lot of pronunciation words betwwen U.S and U.K . It means that my performance in listening is quite good than before and i need to do some improvement for it.

In our class, speaking is the one of the problems that faced by students especially Malay students. Many of them are afraid to English because they think that is difficult to do it. In my opinion, i think that English is one of the language that can help us to do well . I usually speak English with my lecturer despite i am weak in this language. For me, it is also a way to help me to learn and improve my skills. I am sastify with speaking in English.

For vocabulary section, i found that i had learn too much new words either it is for academic use or the future. It encourage me to find out the meaning of these words and try to use them in my life. Vocabulary is the most important key that can help us to write essay or story.

When i doing my presentation, i realize that my communication skill is being improved a lot. It will be very useful for me in the future. I think it was a best performance that i never achieve in my life. For participating discussion, i take part in this section because my lecturer,madam nuretna give emphasis on this part.

After review my achievement in Foundation English class, i have found that listening, speaking and making presentation is the parts that i like a lot and give more attention for them. However, i have to do some improvement for the weakness part as well as vocabulary, reading and writting sections. Without Foundation English lesson, i can say that English is the most difficult subject for me to improve it. Thanks. luv u teacher...i'm appreciate it!

He told about history of Spam. Spam very important for people and many people use Spam such as on the restaurant, email and etc. It is the word that I have learn from Prof.David Crystal for example, evidence (clearly to be seen), horrible (dreadful), and sketch( a rough plan).


Task 2
Secondly, I choose topic "make a day". It is about mediums that influence language is film
has the most effect, for example film Clint Eastwood. The new word that I found in this topic such a thug (a violent), ironic (not serious), extracted (to pull out), and catchphases (a popular).

Assalamualaikum..I'm came back again...Now, I would like to tell you about my new experience and opinion in the blog section for assigment 3. I choose is "Wicked" for the title. Now, I get more ready to listen David Crystal again. Firstly, I listen Carefully what he said, and I got the topic is not difficult for me understand because the word more easy then assigment 2. It's can to help me to use the word be good, when I writing or speak to my friend.
After that, I got the new thing and new word from the text. It's can to be achiavement my pronounciation when I listen by David Crystal. However, I list difficult word to share of you such as:
Splendid: very beautiful and attractive to look at.
Naugthy: wrong(usually not seriously)

Hello my teacher and my friends...Today I would like to tell you about my experienced in assignment 2. I'm very interested with Prof. David Crystal website because it gave me many knowledge and new things. It is also the new experienced I have in learning English. The title I'm choose is cell. For the first time I listened a recording from Prof. David Crystal, I'm very proud of him because he read the passage very well and fluently. But I can't understand the certain part of the passage. However, after I listened again the recording and I read the passage, I can understood all the passage and know what he said. The story about cell in the passage very interesting for me.

Then i heard that topic many time,but i can understand just a little..oh.,..i forget to mention that i chosen WYSIWYG as my topic...what you all guess when see this title..?huhu..i also like you ...blur ...with this topic..But when i see the tapescript and listen this topic..i can understand what the article is about...huhu...i know all of you can understand when read the tapescript...

The word of WYSIWYG is an acronym meaning "what you see is what you get"...huhu sounds funny, right..?In this word also used in restaurants reffering to the food..Thats word also used in a tourist brochure reffering to beautiful scenery...

Hi, I'm Maziah from Tropika group. Today, I would like to write about my achievement in learning english. Actually, i don't like english because it's very difficult for me but when i learn in foundatian english, i can improve my english easily with my teacher.
I really like all activity in class, such as drew pet at zoo, egg scramble, romantic meeting, and others. Sometimes we makes a group and discuss what to do and present in front of students. Here we can enjoy in this class. First day when i make presentation, i also nervous and shy to do it but i know it can teach me to be brave and confident with my self. I'm happy when hear and sing a song " flying without wing" by westlife. I must listening carefully and enjoy with my teacher because she is very sporting. Besides, It's can deficient from sllep lightly
in class. i also like when hear and sing a song " Right hear waiting " by Richard Marx. Along in foundation english class, i can understand about difficult words with slowly and easily helped by teacher. I like reading english queitly because it's easy to understand about words in paraghrap but i'm not strong about grammar because it's so difficult. So long as, i must learn hard because english it's very impirtant in my life. I also nervous to prepare final exam but i'm still study hard to improve my english. Today i want to tell about "David Crystal" this website explain to the students that are going to listen Prof. David Crystal's talking about. I has listening about keep Your English Up To Date in BBC. The title is "Get A Life". From what i listening i feel not clear what he said. Then i read the tapescripts to make me more understand what he said in the topic. Finally, i can understand it. From this topic i found new vocabulary example:

*Derogatory: adjective-insulting and disapproving
*Existence:noun-the state of existing
example- it is impossible to prove the existence of God
*Workaholic:noun-informal some one who cannot stop working and does not have time for
anything else

Then Task 2, i choose another topic on the learning English. The topic which i has choose is "In Your Dream". For second Task i also must listen it's very carefully because the language use so difficult to understand. It also make me to repeat about what he say. However, i also got a new experience and knowledge about BBC programes. The benefits which i could from it, i can compare english language with other language. I also know about their grammar and add new words that i dont understand before this, like:

Hello,I'm Salmiah..Actually, I would like to share with you about my assignment and experience about David Crystal website. For task 1, i choose the recording about"Dumb Down".
The assignment want me listening to Prof. David Crystal's recording.Firstly, I can't read the tapescript. After that, I can read and listen again.
At the first time I'm listen, I can't get what he want to say. Therefore, I'm listen many time to understand what he say. I read the tapescript and refer to dictionary. After that, I can understand the tapescript.
From the recording I'm have a little of words I can't understand until I refer to dictionary.

David Crystal's recordingn its so benefit to me. Here, I want to give my opinion about the title 'Get a Life' as my topic to share with you all. Firstly, I should listening the David Crystal's recording without reading the tapescript. Its so difficult to me, because I'm not understand what he was talking. But, after I had reading the the tapescript, I understand already the topic. Althought, I know actually his talked very well. The topic story about US telivision show. Its so attractive way to get more cheerful in life.

Here, I want give some words that I got from this recording.

Before that,I want to wish a lot of thanks to my lovely teacher because help me learn and improve my English language.She is very good,friendly,responsibility and a nice teacher.

I'm so lucky because can learn English with her.

In foundation class,my achievement in reading English better before that because in class my teacher teach me how to spell, mention and speak with correctly.At the same time, I can improve my mention and fluency in reading English.

Lastly,I like all an activities in class especially with my group "Pingu".I'm very enjoy and happy with them.They are very sporting and so funny.huhuhu..We can handle any activities in class example eggs scramble,where in the world am I, drew a pet at zoo,and others.

I'm so fine, very happy and enjoying in the class with my lecturer and friend very sporting and take care person. Today I want to infrom about my achievement along I'm in english foundation class.

Firstly, my lecturer who very nice and beautiful person.When I in the class I'm felt that so happy and proud to be one on of the student in this class, I'm enjoying what ever activity doing during in the class.

Second, I like about learn word of reading english with right that. Next, I'm felt that, it can improve the english subject and getting some knowledge from that. However from doing activity in group.

hai everybody...i'm adah...i would like to share my experienced again to all of you..

I'm have presentation at 13 june 2007,my group do task 3. we do about The New Book for kids from our company. The title is customs and festivals from around the world..Before that, I'm so nervous and afraid .But, after I'm start the presentation, I'm have more grave to speak to audience. I want to say thanks a lot to all my friends and beloved teacher because ready to listened my presentation. I'm also so happy after I saw my teacher smile and gave me and all my friends the new things and knowledge about presentation. Now, I know how to make a nice presentation.
Besides, now my class in preparation to make a nice drama for competition. I hope my class can be winner in the drama competition.My group do the prop for drama, everyday we combined our ideas to make beautiful prop. I work with my prop team happily. It is also my nice experienced. I'm also happy because I have a good team work, good friends and we do all the prop drama with co-operation together.
After I thought my english class nearly to finish, I'm very sad...but I want to say thanks for God because gave me a really best teacher Pn. Nuretna and nice friends in my class. I LOVE MY CLASS, MY FRIENDS AND MY TEACHER VERY MUCH...=) {set 24 fpi}

Task 2

Hello.........! to all my friend and to my lovely teacher. I'm Fadhilah again. In my task 2 i chose 'wicked' as my topic.Firstly when i listen this topic without see tapescript i cannot understand overall about this topic but when i see tapescript and i read and read again i understand this topic.

In this topic, i found the new vocabulary and i would like to share with you all:

splendid = very good
squeezed = to force something into or through a small space
merry = happy
distinction = a clear or important diffrence things or
people.
ambiguous =having more than one possible meaning

Before i read this topic, i thought that word wicked only means cruel but now i knew that this word not only means cruel. To begin with my writing, I would like to wish a lot of thanks for my friends and especially for my teacher because helped me in the class learning English. Here, in this blog I want to inform my achievements in learning English. Before that, my knowledge and achievements in English a very little. After I come in this class, my knowledge and achievements a great improvement and then I can brave to talk in front of my friends and shy also. Firstly, my achievements in reading, I can reading and pronounce more better. Secondly, in speaking I can speak very well because my teacher learned me how to speak more better. Thirdly, in writing I can wrote more better because my teacher learned me about better writing example I wrote about Heidi in Penguin Readers. Fourthly in listening, I can listen very well example in Longman. After that in vocabulary, my vocabulary in addition and I can get many new words in English. At the same time in making presentations, I become more brave to speak in front of my friends and teacher. Later in participating discussions I can shared many things with my friends and I produce my opinion in something. In the class, I would like the all activities in English classes especially reading. I like reading because my hobbies in leisure is reading. I can spend my time with reading. With reading I get pronounciations in English language. In class the teacher give me one story book Heidi and of course I enjoyed with it. And lastly, thank you very much again for my teacher and all my friends.( MASTURA BINTI MAT ZIN)

Assalamualaikum......to my beloved teacher and all my friends. I'm Nurmasliana binti Ismail A 112299. I'm very happy with english foundation class because along with this class, i can improve my reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary exspecially making presentations skill. Here i also can know more about grammar because my teacher teach me one bye one from the basic. I also improve that grammar with Longman Programme at Perpustakaan Tun Sri Lanang (PTSL).

Making presentations make me so nervous. But i have to agree that skill is the one of the part to make someone have a good communication in front of audience. I'm still remember went i present my zoo in front of you all, although my face not look nervous..huhuhu..that's what my friend say but i'm very nervous thats time.

The most activity i like is scramble eggs. that's activity make my group tropica enjoy it. This activity can train my brain to focus to do something important. Recently, i also like singing activity like Flying Without Wings by Westlife and Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx. This activity can make me understand what the theme's of the song. It also can improve my vocabulary. I'm very enjoy it....That's all for this time....see you again...wassalam.

I'm Fadhilah would like to share with you all about what i'm have done with this task...I've done listening about Prof.David Crystal Online and I chosen 'In your dreams' as my topic.Firstly when i listen to the Prof.David Crystal's recording, i'm not understand what he want to tell because he speaking very fluent in english language. I just understand a little. But when i see to the tapescript i can understand this topic.

In this topic i've found the new words and i would like to share it with you all...

Reverie= day-dream
Muttering= quiet and often angry voice that is difficult to hear.

In my opinion, dream is very important for everyone to make them success in their life. But dream to much it will be destroyed yourself.

I'm glad to listen this online task by Prof.David Crystal because it's gave me a new vocabulary that i never found the word before this...That's all for this task and i hope you all can get benefit from this task..

But after i join this class, i learn more thing about English and now I'm very excited to study English..

Thanks a lot for my lovely teacher, Puan Nuretna..She is very sportive, kind, and nice teacher..I'm very enjoyed with her.

At the class,I like all an activities especially activities with the group. My group is "Pingu". All the member at this group from Kelantan..(mek2 Qlate)..hehehe..Many activities i join in the class example Ice-Breaking,drew a pet in the zoo, where in the world am I, eggs scramble, listen songs "flying without wings" and others..

Hi, hello to all my friends and my lovely teacher. Firstly, thanks for my teacher because walling to teach me and my friends for Foundation English Classes. Thanks also for my friends because without you all I can't be like this. With them I felt exuberant for study in English.
Here I would like to story about my experience a long begin a foundation English Classes. First day come to class, I felt so fear and uncomfortable because I don't confident with my self. In addition my knowledge in English is ....not good..... My knowledge about noun, verb, vocabulary and simple present etc very low. But after come to the class, day after day I felt...I have a bit confident and I can be like other's friend.
At the class, many an activities that I do and I like all the activities especially activities with group. My group name is Pingu. I like my group. They all very sporting...funny...and I'm happy with them. One day we are played the quiz with other's group but my group be defeated in a contest ha ha ha.........so funny!
Lastly, I would like to thanks against for my teacher because her taughed me harworking and full responsiblity. I'm so appreacite. I'm so happy a long a Foundation English Class. Thanks you all!!! (SITI KHADIJAH)

for today i would like to tell all of you about my lovely class again.

firstly, i want to thank to my succesful teacher Nuretna. she's very good and interesting teacher because she has very good strategic in teach our her student. she also nature person's. she always hearten we to be a smart in learn english language.

secondly, i teach a lot of grammar, vocabullary, how to speak a word, summeries and another. before that i don't know very well about grammar like past perfect, present continius but after this foundation i could know it by slowly.

thirdly, i'm very happy when teacher has playing a song flying whithout wings. it's come a good situation in my class for that time. we have singging with agood feeling. this strategic can improve our class to understand about main point in the lyric then we can bring it to summaries the topic in engling language.

after that, i like very well all my members class because they all very kind, sporting, funny, helpfull and a positive thinkking. i can look them with a good responses in the presentation group. they all give our group more attention and support them.
